Our Story
Our story began in 2017. Back then we were retailers of food products in Dar es Salaam City as sole proprietors. We started farming with few acres in order to satisfy the emerging food market in Tanzania. Today, we are privileged to source cashews from small farmers across Tanzania, process, pack and finally deliver to hundreds of customers every day.

CGL is committed to certification of produce and relevant code of practice. The company has started initial stages to certify its cashew farms with GLOBALG.A.P and is dedicated to supplying organic products.
Our Team
Executive Director
CPA (T) Augustus Machumi is a seasoned finance expert, agripreneur, and visionary leader recognized for developing and executing projects aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a strong focus on creating real impact in people's lives.
With over 15 years of experience, Augustus has initiated and managed a variety of business ventures, including - beekeeping, pig and poultry farming, and cashew plantations.
He is the co-founder of Coyote Group Limited and the creative force behind the Crown Cashewnut brand, which specializes in processing and marketing both white and roasted cashew nuts. His long-term vision is to see African-grown foods fully processed and packaged on the continent before being exported to global markets.
Managing Director
Born and raised in Karagwe, a small suburb in the Kagera region of Tanzania, Makwasa graduated from the College of Business Administration with a Diploma in Procurement and Supply Management.
Makwasa has been in the business field for over 10 years. He has worked in freight and forwarding, crop fumigation, research activities with different companies, general product supply, and contract management.
